Sudarshan Kriya Yoga Sri Sri Ravi Shankar created Sudarshan Kriya Yoga Yoga poses for 4 year olds SKY, a comprehensive course offered at beginner and advanced levels that includes an advanced form of Yoga poses for 4 year olds Ujjayi breathing, Bhastrika, AUM chant, Sudarshan Kriya cyclical breathing at varying rates, alternate nostril breathing, yoga postures, meditation, relaxation, psychoeducation in stress reduction, yoga philosophy, and group processes.

A nonrandomized, six-week study in Sweden compared the effects of a six-day Sudarshan Kriya Yoga Course, called SK&P, in 55 adults to the effects of simple relaxation in an armchair with the mind gently focused on breathing in 48 yoga-naive university students. In comparison to the control group, the SK&P group showed greater improvements on measures of anxiety, depression, and stress, as well as increased optimism. Limitations of this study were the nonrandomization and the short length of follow-up.
The amount of prior yoga experience of the SK&P group was not explained, whereas the control group was described as yoga-naive. While these methodigical issues make interpretation of this study difficult, the test results did show significant within subject improvements in the SK&P group Kjellgren, Bood, Axelsson, Norlander & Saatcioglu, 2007.
