‘Motivation comes from within, as cheesy as that sounds. So take the time to stop and think what you want to achieve. Don’t talk in generalisations, such as “I want to be healthy”. Drill down on your goals in detail and form an emotional connection to them. Do you want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit for the first time? Do you want to meet your great grandchildren? Do you want to run a 5k to raise money for breast cancer? Do you want to be a good role model for your kids? The bottom line is that, whatever your reasons for making changes to get healthy, all that matters is that it matters to you.’

There is definitive science that outlines the behaviours we should adopt that would slow the ageing of our bodies to a crawl. I actually love ageing. I am so much wiser, stronger, and calmer than I have ever been. That said, the key is to do it with grace, integrity, vitality, and quality of life.’
