Pendulum breathing.

Practise pendulum breathing (Day Two) for five minutes.

5. Autogenic relaxation.

Read Autogenic component (Day One, Group 1), and while practising pendulum breathing carry out autogenic relaxation until you have completed the half hour programme.

Total time 30 minutes.

Take up a comfortable sitting position. Have a clock handy and time the following routine as accurately as possible.

1. Hair shampoo friction.

With fingertips of both hands give the scalp a vigorous shampoo-rub, concentrating on the hairline area, wherever that may be. As you breathe in (pendulum breathing) rub lightly, becoming firmer as you breathe out. Continue for about two minutes.
