1. HOW OFTEN WORK OUT?
‘In a perfect scenario, I workout three times a week with EdEd Lumsden, Davina’s trainer]for an hour each time, plus doan extra workout at home, such as a bike ride with my husband for a walk with my kids. I was in Australia last week, and I’ve been working 14-hour days recently, soI put on my running gear as soon as I got off the plane and went for run – I normally do half an hour and get a sweat on.’
2. WHAT ARE FAVOURITE FOODS?
‘I love a big plate of salad, and make a lot of soup, but big hearty ones with chicken in them, for example. The Good because you can freeze some. I eat refined-sugar-free most of the time, but I love banoffee pie! I savour every mouthful. I eat healthily but I don’t beat myself up about it – we can be really hard on ourselves.’

3. WHAT’S PHYSICAL CHALLENGE?
‘I’ve just agreed to do a sprint triathlon (in Windsor) in six weeks, so I need to get training! Greg [celebrity trainer Greg Whyte] told me to practise swimming in the sea to get used to open water. I told him I was really nervous about doing a triathlon and he said I could do it with my eyes closed – but it’s the mental challenge that’s hard. Before I did the Sport Relief Challenge [her week-long 500-mile triathlon-style challenge in 2014], I gave my husband my wedding ring and told him to slip it back on my finger when I got to the end. For big challenges, you need something like that to get you through it.’
4. WHICH MUST-HAVE ITEMS ARE IN KIT-BAG?
‘Polar devices are amazing if you’re training for any events –they’re so motivational. I’m obsessed with my heart rate andlike to push it to the max. I’d also pack water with nothing init (I used to include electrolytes but now I think water’s all you need), a towel as I sweat buckets and a hair band. I try to avoid wearing makeup when I’m working out as I sweat so much. When I go away, I take my DVD and work out to it – it sounds weird, but I’m used to it now! I also pack 2kg weights.’
5. FAVOURITE WORKOUT?
‘I love the burn, so HIIT is great. I love a burpee! Ed does a great combo of exercises and builds them up. Oh, and I’ve just discovered a great local Spin class – it’s like a nightclub and I loved it but I pushed myself so hard I thought I was going to throw up! I used to do CrossFit, but after I turned 40, it was a disaster as I was pushing myself way too hard!’
